Surplex Software
This doc will guide you through installing the software required for Surplex shoes.
Please download the full version of our software with the link that has been sent to your email. Please check with our support if you haven’t received it.
Once you have the software, please unzip the file. You will find a file directory named as main. Within which, you will find two executable files:
functional_test.exemain.exe
Please execute function_test.exe under function_test directory when using Surplex’s shoes for the first time. The software will prompt you to move your shoes to test IMU readout and step on the shoes to test pressure sensors readout. If everything is set up correctly, you will be prompted All Test Passed. If you can’t successfully go through the test, please contact our support team.
Once you have passed the function_test.exe, please start SteamVR with your VR headset ready. Then, you can go ahead to start main.exe. When you use it for the first time, you will be prompted to provide some of your biology information such as height and weight. These data are saved locally and are used only for computation. Then, please wait 5-10 seconds for the shoes to connect to your computer, then, you will see trackers connected to your SteamVR.
At the same time, main.exe will output the current battery level and data transmission quality.
